Nasir Jones
We were given the choice to do anything we wanted for our final project in our core illustration class. I've been inspired lately by Nas' music, his message and the energy of his songs, so I chose to do a portrait. I also happen to get to see him in concert tonight at the Kool Haus, can't wait!Oils, Photoshop - 11"x17"

really nice handling of the face.
The background has a really nice texture too.
I think cast shadows in the neck area and on the arms would of brought out the picture alot more. Other than that it's an awesome piece, i can feel you're improving.
